But thoughtful men among other racial minorities recognize that unconstitutional, undemocratic procedures against any one minority can prove the opening wedge for such action against all other minorities. They know that the same men who propose such action against citizens and aliens of Japanese racial origin would not hesitate in extending such legislation to other groups, whenever it seemed to their advantage. And always it can be held as a threat against the advancement toward the full realization of their basic rights for the Negro, the Chinese, the Filipino, the Mexican-American and other victims of marginal democracy.
